This is a collection of Franciscan Desert Rose dinnerware pieces, including an oval serving platter, bowls, a pitcher, creamer, and a covered sugar bowl.
The pattern, introduced in 1941, features hand-painted pink roses and green leaves on an ivory background with a textured, earthenware feel.
It became one of the best-selling patterns in American history and was produced in the USA, England, and China before being discontinued in 2013.
The scalloped edges and prominent roses are characteristic of the California-made versions (1941-1984).
